2008

The workshop feedback throughout 2007 continued to be really positive and rewarding. Our aim is always that every person attending one of our workshops leaves feeling inspired and more confident in what they are doing and what they need to do. The word inspiration crops up a lot in feedback! one lovely comment recently was, "I joined my company in October last year and I kept hearing about the non-staff trainer who works with us and so I had a lot of expectations. Finally I get to work with you and it has been even better than I hoped, thank you."

As a boutique mentor/coaching and development company we design and facilitate workshops to meet your needs and those attending. Our workshops aim for deep learning to take place and we believe this only happens when we acknowledge and work with individual uniqueness. The Unique You ϒϒ™ model is designed to allow each delegate to feel fully involved and appreciated, leading to greater buy in and a strong feeling of self worth. Ongoing support is there to strengthen learning and confidence.
  • Values
    1. Vision and challenge We inspire and challenge thinking for growth and rebuilding
    2. Integrity We provide a discrete and safe learning environment. We work with the tough stuff whether, personal or organisational
    3. Focus We never loose site of the key reason for our involvement

    • Leadership

This hugely successful course is usually run as a 2 day off site course although each course is truly unique. Typically we examine the differences between management and leadership, strategy, motivation (self and motivating others), team development and communication. It is designed to leave delegates feeling inspired to inspire others - the feedback tells us it works.

    • Managing Under Performance

Raising challenging issues effectively with under performing staff is not always easy. This half day workshop is designed to develop the skills associated with dealing with people performance issues in particular raising sensitive issues, joint problem solving and identifying the root causes of performance issues.

    • Goal Setting

Goal setting techniques are used by top-level athletes, successful business people and achievers in all fields. They give you long-term vision and short-term motivation. You will move from clearly defining what a goal is, and how you build a pyramid of goals and objectives, to an understanding of who sets goals, how goals are set, and how you build actions that support them

    • Stress Management For Managers

Aimed at people who manage others, this course looks at legal responsibilities with case notes, causes and signs of stress and actions to take. With the Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health saying at the end of 2007 that the overall annual cost to employers, including time off work and lost productivity, is nearly £26bn, it is prudent to take positive action. Recent feedback includes, 'now I know what my responsibilities actually are and I have since learnt how to handle my own stressors more effectively.'

    • Customer Care

It has always been true that the easiest customer to sell to is a happy customer. Customer care courses can range between 1 and 9 days and can cover, determining what customers want, evaluating service, communication skills, assertiveness, handling angry clients and much more besides.

    • Self Confidence and Assertiveness

Self confidence and assertiveness helps delegates understand the challenges of saying no and aims to build the skills necessary for behaving assertively in a practical manner. How to understand different behaviour patterns and the reasons they arise, the need for negotiation and persuasion and co-operation in the workplace. This course can be combined with Time Management issues the two are so interlinked!

    • Presentation Skills

Presentation skills are much in demand but provide a significant challenge to many people. This course allows people to develop the key skills that they need and really bring themselves into their presentations. Facilitated by a trainer experienced in public speaking, entertainment both on stage and the media, yet with equal experience in business. Recently feedback, 'so liberating it should be made compulsory for all staff.'

    • Problem Solving and Strategic Planning

The record industry had a problem with falling sales but it took a computer company to find a solution. It took 30 years for mainstream cycle manufacturers to realise the potential market that existed for mountain biking by which time start up manufacturers had established a market lead. If you are trying to solve the wrong problem the strategic plan is doomed. With this course we look at solution focused environments, problem analysis, out of the box thinking and strategic planning.

    • Team Building and Developing

Teams are a vital part of any organisation but simply to put a collection of people together and expect them to operate as a team without any training would never be tolerated by the military. Our aim is to increase understanding of what people bring to groups, developing communication skills, collaboratively problem solve and develop into a high performing unit. These skills are then
transportable to each new team situation

    • Sales - The Inner Game

The best time to sell is when you have just sold - why? Because psychologically that is when the salesperson’s self-belief is highest. Understanding one’s own motivators, strengths and vulnerable areas builds inspired selling. Sales - The Inner Game examines just how to develop and self-belief and win the client’s trust. Always popular this course requires only half a day.

    • Effective Meetings

Be honest, far too many the meetings you attend are poorly structured, last for ages and are often inconclusive. This course aims to equip meeting Chairs and facilitators with the skills to run effective meetings that are short, to the point and effective. The sister course to this is Minute Taking, recently described by a delegate as ‘a wonderful day full of ideas and techniques.’

    • Train The Trainer

Many trainers love the sound of their own voices and forget that most delegates will struggle to remember 20% of what they heard. Unique You ϒϒ™ training explores what individuality really means in training, learning styles and the impact of approaches such as Transactional Analysis and NLP. Banish your need to read from the book or PowerPoint slides, train the trainer explores your strongest style, the interpersonal relationship, course design, dealing with issues and using visual aids.
